Instructors:

  • Dan is one of the owner/operators of the company and is an Army veteran. He began his law enforcement career in 2015. Almost immediately, Dan attended Method of Instruction, PT Instructor School and Firearms Instructor School, and began working in that capacity at the Academy and Department levels. Dan became a member of a regional SWAT Team in 2016 and has served as an instructor in firearms and tactics and as a Team Leader since 2020. He has served in specialized units for the majority of his career, which include fugitive apprehension and a proactive enforcement unit working out of Newark, NJ. Dan has two Elite podium finishes at the Tactical Games and has competed in local USPSA matches and the annual Ft. Meade Patrol Rifle Competition. Dan specializes in the following: rifle/pistol marksmanship, CQB, building search with limited personnel, and vehicle containment/apprehension techniques.

  • Ryan is an owner/operator of the company. He has served as a United States Marine Corps Infantry Assaultman from 2006 -2014 with a GWOT deployment to Iraq in 2008-2009. In his capacity as a Sergeant and Section Leader, Ryan was responsible for the training and leading of Marines. Ryan began his law enforcement career in 2012 and began instructing in 2015. He currently serves as a unit supervisor and Instructor/Team Leader on a regional SWAT Team. Prior to this, Ryan spent his career on fugitive apprehension teams, including a federal task force, where he has received multiple commendations for his effectiveness and acquired experience operating in a variety of environments in the tri-state area.  Ryan continues to compete in Rifle and Pistol competitions and is considered our company and team’s subject matter expert regarding gear and equipment. Ryan specializes in firearms marksmanship, weapon and handheld light manipulation, criminal apprehension and communication techniques, small unit tactics and is regarded as a subject matter expert in tactical breaching, holding certifications in explosive breaching, manual, mechanical, thermal, ballistic and hydraulic methods of entry.

  • Rodney served as a US Marine and began his law enforcement career in 2001, serving on a state level tactical team from 2007 -2021, where he held every position from operator to platoon leader, and was ultimately responsible for the training and readiness of 20+ SWAT officers, and the execution of high-risk operations in rural and urban environments. Rodney’s experience at this level has allowed him the opportunity to train and work with the US Military’s Special Operations Units and specialized units from large Law Enforcement Agencies. He pulls from this and his operational experience to provide practical, experience-based instruction. Rodney is also a co-founder and team captain of the NJSP Shooting Team. He is currently a Carry Optics Master Class USPSA Pistol competitor and is ranked in the top 30 of Law Enforcement Officers nationwide. Rodney holds multiple armorer certifications and has attended virtually every MRDS (handgun red dot optic) instructional course. He specializes in rifle/pistol marksmanship, CQB and Team based tactics, Leadership, and Mission Planning.

  • Brad began his law enforcement career in 2007 and has served at the patrol, detective, and supervisory levels. He has been a member of a regional SWAT team since 2009 and currently holds the position of Squad Leader. In his capacity as a SWAT Team Leader, detective and detective sergeant, Brad has operated in and managed a high volume of critical incidents, barricaded subjects and warrant executions. Brad has been a firearms instructor at the agency and academy level since 2010, an armorer and is a lead instructor at the academy for less lethal use of force. Brad is an experienced instructor teaching firearms and tactics and holds certifications in Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun/Sub-gun Instruction, Taser Deployment, Less-Lethal Munitions, Use of Force, and Tactics.

  • Charles “Gat” Gatnarek has been a law enforcement officer since 2003 and a member of a regional SWAT team since 2011. Gat’s 20+ years of experience includes but is not limited to roles as a patrolman, detective and patrol supervisor. He has over 13 years of experience on a regional tactical team and is currently a Team Leader and Operations Officer, where he is responsible for managing critical incidents and tactical planning. Gat is his agency’s Supervising Firearms Instructor and Use of Force instructor. He is certified by the Force Science Institute and a graduate of West Point’s Command and Leadership Academy.  Gat specializes in Use of Force, Critical Incident Response for Patrol and Patrol Supervisors, Leadership and Patrol Tactics.

  • Kyle served as a USMC Infantryman from 2002-2006 with GWOT deployments to Iraq, finishing his enlistment as a USMC rifle and pistol instructor. Kyle began his law enforcement career in 2008 and has served on a regional SWAT Team since 2012, where he currently holds the position of Team Leader and Small Unit Tactics instructor. Throughout his time in the military and law enforcement, Kyle has had the opportunity to train with and learn from premier firearms and tactics instructors from around the country and has competed in the Tactical Games individual and team events. Kyle combines this education with his real-world experience to deliver direct and practical instruction. Kyle has been a law enforcement firearms instructor since 2011 and is a certified rifle and pistol armorer, a Defensive Tactics Instructor and an Active Shooter Instructor. Kyle specializes in rifle/pistol marksmanship, small unit tactics, patrol tactics, CQB, and shotgun deployment.

  • Brian began his law enforcement career in 2015 and has had the unique experience of serving on a Regional SWAT and a Municipal Special Response Team. Brian attended Firearms Instructor School in 2018 and has since performed in that role on a tactical team and for Readiness Training Group. Since 2018, Brian has trained civilian men and women, and law enforcement officers in the safe handling of firearms and marksmanship. This includes pistol, rifle and shotgun, both with iron sights and weapon mounted optics. Brian has been awarded Patrolman of the Year at a large agency and combines his experience on the road, his tactical training, and his education to deliver clear, concise and relevant instruction to his audience.
