Glock 19

The Glock pistol is the most popular handgun in the world and to be specific, the Glock model 19 9mm. You have probably seen it in movies, on television, or being carried by just about any cop you come across. It was the first polymer framed, striker-fired semi-automatic pistol, and it has been the standard ever since. If you look at any other striker-fired semi-auto pistol, they basically copied the design features of Glock and put a “spin” on their version. Glock pistols are well known for there inherent reliability, affordability, safety and ease of use. The Glock model 19 comes in 5 different generations from 1-5, with 5 being the most updated version available for purchase. It is a compact sized pistol with a 4 “ barrel and a magazine capacity of 15 rounds from the factory (local and state laws may affect magazine capacity). It is a very capable and trustworthy pistol for law enforcement, personal and home defense and just plain old recreational shooting. Its size makes it a great option for carrying it concealed if you are legally allowed to do so, and a good fit for shooters with smaller hands, compared to full framed pistols. Glock pistols all come standard with 3 built in safeties, making it one of the safest pistols to own.

So if we dive a little deeper into the Glock model 19, the Gen 5 is the latest offering from Glock. We get a highly affordable and customizable, user friendly pistol. The gen 5 features are a new and improved marksman barrel, as well as a new diamond-like coating (DLC) on the slide with front cocking serrations, ambidextrous slide stop lever, finger grooves removed from the frame and an improved trigger group assembly. The MOS version of the Glock 19 gen 5 is the Modular Optics System, which allows the user to add miniature red dot sights to the slide of the pistol with mounting plates. The frame also features a rail for the attachment of weapon mounted flashlights.
