Coyote Tactical Solutions STOMP
The Coyote Tactical Solutions STOMP medical pouch is a medium sized nylon medical pouch (IFAK). It comes in various colors and mounting interfaces to include MOLLE and belt mounted. It can hold all the essential medical supplies to include wound dressing and packing materials, chest seals, gloves, needles and tubes, etc. It can be purchased with medical supply content for additional cost or just as the pouch. It has laser cut slits and eyelets inside to weave whatever you need through the slits and allows the use of slim shock cord to help secure contents when fully opened. It also has two elastic retainer straps to secure a CAT tourniquet to the bottom of the pouch. I believe what sets this particular pouch apart from other medical pouches is that it can be either belt or MOLLE mounted, but the fact that it can be separated from its mounting interface is very beneficial.
There is limited space to mount essential gear to either our belt or vest, and the priority of where things are mounted is important. For example, our duty or gun belt is going to have a holster+pistol, magazines, flashlight, handcuffs, etc. A medical option is also essential, but in the realm of priorities, where is it placed? At 10 or 2 o’clock on my belt? Probably not since my pistol and magazines already occupy those areas. This is why one would typically see any kind of medical items located between 5-7 o’clock of a duty belt, or even worse…. the BACK of a vest! The STOMP can be completely removed and laid out to easily access its contents and let you get to plugging holes. It can also be attached to a vehicle headrest to have a readily available medical solution if a situation were to arise. For some crazy reason, there are some agencies that will not let officers wear anything other than a pistol, cuffs and magazine on their duty belt to this day. If the equipment is not on you or with you, then you probably will not have access to it when you absolutely need it. #ExpecttoSelfRescue
